Deception Point

All said and done about Dan Brown, Deception Point (DP) is a let down for those who have read DVC and DF. Though Brown has tried to convince that all the technology described in the book is real, it sounds far from it. The usual escape from death and the himalayan trials of his main characters shout loud and clear " u r reading fiction". The protogonists can sink into a shark's mouth and still come out safe with the slighest injury to their arms.....because the shark was not hungry!!
I am struck for words to describe the plot of the novel because even a slight hint might make the reading uninteresting. Brown, as usual, has a qualified, intelligent and smart woman for the heroine and a matching (that makes simpler) hero for her to pull her out of mishaps. the same old villain is disguised from the start, though, in DP, it becomes obvious after few pages who the villain is -atleast i guessed it right. the story revolves around a path-
breaking NASA discovery and serves Brown's technical apetite. the best part of the novel is the politics at the white house. after the iraq invasion, pre-poll popular vote and the 2004 presidential election result, i humbly believe that anything can happen with washington.

I couldnt remember if there was an official opposition to this novel from NASA. It has taken Brown a 400 page novel to beat around the bush that NASA is an inefficient organization, gulping tax payer's hard earned money. The novel simply mocks NASA and upholds the presidency!!!!what does Brown want to say here? Does he want to say anything at all ??

I am surprised how the novel missed michael moore's concern ( to be precise, his appreciation for pointing out that NASA spends too much money but couldnt produce the expected results).
